A Perfect Afternoon
Oh Spring Break, how I needed thee!!
Our day started out with the sun shining through the window and pj's on till noon!! During Jake's early morning nap (which he put himself down for) Anika and I made our Easter snacks for everyone. We made bird nests out of chow mein noodles, melted chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate eggs. It was the perfect snack craft. Anika was in charge of putting the eggs in the nests and it actually kept her attention the whole time. She was so proud of them! They were the first thing that she showed anyone who entered our house!! :) And Boy Were they delicious!!

It was so good that the chicken didn't even make it to the kitchen table...hot off the grill...perfect!

Which led to bath time for our BBQed covered kids....

YUMMO!!

After afternoon nap time Our Kiddos played outside with our new neighbor kids
(which Josh and I are loving by the way...never knew how great neighbor kids are when you are parents of 2 very active kids, LOVE IT ).
Josh cooked killer chicken on the grill!! Yeah for grilling season!!

My Little Monsters!!
Happy Halloween!!
It is the little things in life that I get excited about and Halloween is one of them! I love making a big deal about picking out our pumpkins and carving them, decorating the house, and making arts and crafts. This year we made orange tie-dye pumpkin shirts with Kayla, Lauren, Dane, Anika, and Jake. Boy was I thankful for Kayla, Lauren, and Dane, otherwise I would have been the only one tie-dying my kiddos t-shirts and coloring them in into jack-o-lanterns!! Anika and Jake lost interest after 1 minute!!
This is was our first year trick-or-treating with Kayla! I was so glad that my family made the trip down to MN! We sure did miss our usual trick-or-treating buddies, Mia and Lehela, though!!
